Here’s a short but sweet one for you. Overnight oats was one of the first blog posts I ever wrote, both my ingredients and presentation skills have advanced since then, if you follow me or any other food bloggers on instagram, you’ll know that beautiful breakfasts are a big deal. So I thought it’d be worth sharing how I make ’em now.
The ingredient quantities are relatively vague, but the great thing about overnight oats is that precision is not at all necessary. Just wing it, it’ll turn out delicious. This bowl tastes like dessert (yeah, seriously) and will comfortably serve 2 people.
Large handful of porridge oats
200ml almond milk
2 tbsps greek yoghurt
1 tbsp almond butter
4 or 5 chopped strawberries
1 tsp agave nectar
Leave overnight, then top with fresh strawberries and pumpkin and chia seeds in the morning.
Your track recommendation for this recipe is probably not your usual wake-up choice, but I couldn’t resist one of Kate Bush’s masterpieces after hearing about her fantastic performance recently.
Do you make overnight oats? What are your favourite flavour combos?
