Welcome, dear readers, to my new second favourite week of the year (my first favourite is Christmas week, obviously). 12-18th October is Chocolate Week.
Didn’t know that? I’ve now justified total gluttony from right this second until Sunday, you are so welcome.
That’s not the only thing I’m here to blow your mind with today either, I’m also bringing the news about the limited edition Lindt truffles that are here for this season – chocolate orange.

Even better news. Melt these babies with some hot milk and you’ve got yourself a luxurious, naughty, seasonal as a pumpkin, hot chocolate.
Orange Hot Chocolate
1 mug milk (I use almond because I’m that person)
2-3 chocolate orange truffles
marshmallows + cream if you’re feeling frisky
We don’t need numbers for this game, do we? Heat the milk in a saucepan until it’s steaming and starting to bubble. Cut the truffles in half and put them in the bottom of your favourite mug. Pour the milk over and stir like you’ve never stirred before – a mini whisk is really a very valuable tool here. Chuck a few marshmallows and a little whipped cream in there if you’re celebrating.
