Win a Slow Cooker to Keep You Warm for Winter

If social media is anything to go by (and it usually is), you guys are finally starting to feel the cold. I think it’s taken us a little longer than usual, I mean it’s late November and I haven’t even worn gloves yet, or put my big winter coat on without later regretting it. But I think we’re now heading in that direction – some of us are even expecting (hoping, praying for) snow this weekend.

Seeing as I love you, and it’s chilly, and it would make me happy to think of you all with a delicious meal at the end of each day, I’m giving one of you a shot at winning a VonShef slow cooker from

It was highly rated by the trusty folks over at BBC Good Food back in 2013, making their top 5 slow cookers list, it’s got a 6.5 litre capacity (so you can always make extra for delicious delicious leftovers) and all the bits that need washing up are dishwasher safe.

If you’re looking for slow cookin’ inspiration, check out the slow cooker recipe hub over on the DOMU website. To enter the competition, follow the link to Rafflecopter below..

  1. Ooh – perfect winter giveaway! With two small kids and school runs and you know, LIFE, a slow cooker has been on my wish list for ages. I’d love to try a lamb neck stew in it first, perfect cold weather fare.

Let me know what you’d cook in your slow cooker first.. . . . . . .my Lancashire HotPot

  3. @iDreamInCustard says

I’d definitely start with a warming root veg casserole. WITH DUMPLINGS. Because dumplings should always be on the table.

  5. Never used a Slow Cooker, but really want to try one. I’d cook a lovely braised beef and carrots casserole. Thanks for the chance πŸ™‚

  6. What perfect timing because you are right it was so cold this weekend and I am dreaming of warm stews and soups so this would be perfect. Decisions, decisions… It would be between a nice beef shin stew, coq au vin or I just saw a pork spare rib recipe that I now cannot stop thinking about. X

  7. Anthea Holloway says

I would cook a lovely beef casserole with plenty of root vegetables.
