Happy Mother’s Day! I’ve avoided gushing too much on social media about my wonderful Mother because I know it can be a tricky time of year for a few people, but I hope you’ll humour a little bit of that nonsense here. My Mum is a very special lady. She brought me and my little sister up single handedly – which is a tough gig as I’m sure you can imagine – and did a pretty damn good job of it if where we all are today is anything to go by. She instilled in us a level of self belief that left us capable of taking on anything, a work ethic that’s unparalleled by most of the people I’ve met, the ability to question when necessary and shut up and do as we’re told when needed, and have all our actions come from a place of love. It’s really quite impossible to put into words how thankful I am that I came into this world through her, and how grateful I am for my little family of three badass women. Love you Mum!!
Cosy Sunday vibes at The Dover Castle
I don’t have many top picks from the internet this week because I’ve been kind of avoiding it for fear of Donald Trump and EU arguments, but here’s what slipped under the net of avoidance…
- On repeat this week: Hands to Myself, Love Myself and No Letting Go. None of them new, all of them super relevant to the vibe of the last seven days.
- I wrote a piece for the Vegan Lifestyle Association about what’s gwarnin’ since Veganuary for me, so if you’re at all interested in that you can check it out here.
- A real human being legally changed his name to Bacon Double Cheeseburger. I strongly feel that this is the best news story of the week.
- This pisstake of clean eating bloggers had me very nearly wetting myself.
This week saw the best addition to my wardrobe maybe ever. A white t-shirt with a super flattering sleeve and a pug pocket. Get it at Primark for £6 and thank me later.
I’ve been incredibly badly behaved as far as my diet is concerned this week. Let’s just process what we see before us and never speak of it again, OK? Thanks.
I’m not usually a cereal in the morning girl, but I’m head over heels for the convenience of the new Dorset Cereals launch this week. No, raspberry and white chocolate muesli probably isn’t the healthiest choice in the world, but I feel like it’s gotta be a step up from coco pops so let’s all chill. Keep an eye out for it at the supermarket because it’s for reals good.
I didn’t have a whole lot to tell you this week. That’s probably because I have so much going on that has to remain under wraps for the time being. It’s all change around here, in an exciting and not too scary way. I hope you have a beautiful Sunday, call your mother.

Haha I’ll just DM you at some point next week as soon as I hear about said thing xx
Ooh, new muesli sounds very nice, I’ll be on the lookout for that 😉
I really hope you have read thishttp://www.everywhereist.com/i-recreate-amanda-bacons-elle-magazine-food-diary-using-stuff-in-my-house/ And if you haven’t read it, you really must. Also read the original Elle “article” too, so you can see in full how strange this Bacon woman is. Finally, is it just me or does Moon Juice sound like a euphemism for periods?
