Personally, I’m going to be staying firmly inside on Monday night. All the doors will be locked and the curtains shut, and something really really funny will be watched on the telly in an attempt to distract me from the possibility of being brutally attacked by killer clowns. I know some are braver than I and might be on the lookout for something spooky to eat before they hit the town, for them I have just the thing.
Stock Burger are new to Brighton seafront as of this year, located right next to Holiday Inn. This October, they launched the Meat Freak – a delicious burger with a charcoal infused bun – to celebrate Halloween. The Stock team spent months working with local craft bakers perfecting the recipe for this bun, and it definitely does the trick (or treat.. badoom boom tsschh..). It’s almost cakey in texture, closer to a brioche than a regular bun, but it’s aesthetic effect was most impressive, it’s perfect for celebrating the scariest night of the year.
The burger itself is simple (done very well) so as not to distract from the extra special bun, a patty with lettuce, tomato and burger sauce and oozing with melty cheese. You can get it for just £9.95 or add skin-on fries to take it to £11. Get down there this weekend or Monday before it’s gone!
P.S – not feeling the whole charcoal bun thing? Cab can recommend the pulled beef brisket..
