Hey, Check This Out

Happy Sunday I’m finally accepting the New Year and I’ve almost stopped crying myself to sleep whilst singing “where are you Christmas” by Cindy-Lou Who. It takes me longer than most, that’s just who I am. In all seriousness though, it’s been a great week. Let’s talk about small sections of it in not a lot of detail. Good things that happened this week I finally published the recipe for vegan fajitas. Women’s Health Magazine has dropped the phrase “bikini body” from their publication now and forever. Magazines have been the toxic frenemies of women for too long, I hope to see more steps forward like this in the near future. I bought Molly a new toy and it made her wag her tail for about 10 straight minutes. It’s a little ducky made of rope and it was worth every penny of the £3 it cost. I listened to a lovely/funny/very very British programme every day this week on Radio 4 with David Mitchell. It’s about manners. Find it here. Jess and Josh cooked …

Hey, Check This Out

Happy New Year, Happy New Sunday.. I hope the booze blues have just about left your system and you’ve managed to get your appetite back to almost normal after Christmas. It ain’t easy, I’m only just barely there. I haven’t taken many pictures or made a mental note of much to tell you this week, because is there anything more dysfunctional than a human being in the days between Christmas and New Year? I’ve done my best though, so here we go.. Good things that happened this week I saw in the New Year with two of my favourite people in the world (these idiots). I mean I don’t remember it, but I know we were all there, and that’s what counts. I found a few restaurants on Deliveroo that have loads of vegan menu options. I’m looking forward to trying one or two and reviewing them for Veganuary purposes.. I got almost no emails. That’s a very short list. Because, you know, #PostChristmasBlues. And Then There Were None Did you see it? If you didn’t, …

Hey, Check Thismas Out

Happy Sunday.. Is it though? This is always a sad Sunday for me. Christmas is over, even Boxing Day is now a memory, I’ve put on at least half a stone and pretty soon I’ll have to think about taking down the decorations. For someone who lives for the twinkly days and nights of December, this coming week is a little rough. I did, however, have a wonderful Christmas week, so we can save the sob stories for next Sunday when January gets real, can’t we? For now, let’s take a little look at the best bits of life this week.. Earlier this week, I went over to the Jesh residence to partake in pre-Christmas merriment with a few friends, a lot of curry, and one big fat quiz of the year (a very vintage episode, I came second to last). The food was delicious, the company perfect and the laughs aplenty. Just a few days before Christmas, my Mum, Sister and I got the train up to London to see my Godparents, eat delicious …
