Cold Brew Coffee Tomato Juice

Have You Ever Done This With Cold Brew Coffee?

This post is in collaboration with BRITA Has anybody mentioned to you yet that it’s UK Coffee Week? I find it hard to believe that at all possible, but just in case, here I am to keep you in the loop at the very, very tail end of the week. What would you do without me, for real? BRITA just so happen to be sponsoring this caffeine love in, and they invited me to put one of their water filters to good use with some cold brew and get creative with it. Shamefully, I had no idea how to make cold brew coffee before I started preparing for this blog post, I’d make a truly terrible hipster (but that kind of makes me glad, so it’s swings and roundabouts). I’d imagined cold brew to be the exact same thing as.. er.. hot brew.. but with cold water, but it’s actually more of a labour of love than that – and takes like 24 hours. Is it worth it? Hells yes, there’s like nothing fancier than …

SS16 Drinks

You’re getting hit right now with a lot of spring/summer 2016 fashion collections. I know that’s true because I am too. Email after email, banner ad after billboard after sponsored tweet. It’s unstoppable, and I kind of don’t mind it, I am after all a girl with a love of buying new clothes that I don’t really need. Black Cherry Gin Jelly Shots I’ve been wanting to make “jello shots” since I was about 11 years old and saw them on whatever terrible American TV show I was watching at the time. 10 years later, here I am, making them for the …

What to do with the syrup leftover from making candied peel..

On Friday afternoon, as part of my #bakeoffbakealong challenge, I made candied orange peel from scratch. I’ll tell you more about that in my first bake off post (keep an eye out, it’s gonna be great), but this post is answering the question I had to ask myself: “What the hell am I going to do with this delicious orange syrup?” It was amazing. This gorgeous gloopy syrupy consistency, kind of bitter but super sweet, like liquid marmalade gold. It was then that I remembered whisky marmalade was a thing that people went all crazy for at Christmas last year, therefore orange and whisky were presumably a good combo. I presumed correctly. Some syrup, some whisky, some tonic – I’ll leave the measurements up to you, we all drink in different ways, right? This is a delicious combo though. But I didn’t bring you all this way to give you just one leftover syrup idea, what kind of person would I be if I didn’t give you options, huh? You could also.. Use it in a salad …
