The Caffeine Lovers Gift Guide

It’s no secret that I frequently enjoy a hot beverage, so I thought it appropriate that my first gift guide of the season be dedicated to highlighting the best treats in the world of caffeine. Handpicked gift plans are super easy to sort out and start at £24 for 3 months (250g of coffee a month). The coffee comes from small farmers and is roasted in London before being popped through your letterbox. It’s a fuss free way to try something different (but almost definitely decent) every month. Hope & Glory have got an adorbs little one off gift pack for coffee lovers with good coffee, espresso cups and chocolate covered coffee beans. Whittard have (predictably) got a gorgeous Christmas range this year. You all know how highly I rate these guys, they’ve quite literally never let me down in quality. Their brandy coffee is lovely, the Christmas tea is top notch and this little mulled wine tree house is torturously cute. Bluebird Tea Co have brought their A game this year. I’ve tried the whole …

We Need to Talk About Pumpkin Spice

Before we begin, I should tell you something. I’ve never had a pumpkin spice latte. Considering the fact that it was first introduced in 2003, this is pretty neglectful of me. I got to thinking about why I’d never gotten round to it.. There’s the whole Starbucks taxes thing, of course. Or perhaps it’s because I live in perpetual fear of being thought of as basic. Oh, or it could be that one latte contains 49g (a lot) of sugar. So when Bluebird Tea Co sent me their autumn collection, I did an actual squeal at the packet marked Spiced Pumpkin Pie. A pumpkin spice drink made by a small company, local to me, using quality ingredients, who know their shit? Doesn’t get much better than that. It was the first tea I brewed from the lot, and it lived up to my (very) high hopes and expectations. Guys, I love this tea so much I could do cartwheels. It’s got all those wicked autumnal flavours without the use of a sugar syrup, so it’s already streets ahead …

Afternoon Tea Round My House

Before we begin today, can I just ask if I’m the only one feeling a little bit groggy because she stayed up far too late trying to catch a glimpse of meteors? Li’l pain in the old neck from craning it to look at the sky too? Just me? Ok, on with this then.. As much as I’d love to invite you all round for tea, it wouldn’t be logistically practical. There’s really not enough space for hundreds of hungry people, my table only sits four and the sofa’s worn out enough as it is. Besides, some of you might be axe-wielding murderers or polaroid-taking weirdos. It’s safer then to hold an afternoon tea in honour of Afternoon Tea Week without you, but take enough pictures and tell you all about it so as to make you feel as if you were here. I hope that’s substitute enough. I wanted to go all out on this, seeing as you were all going to be here in spirit, so I decided to give it a theme. What …
