New Years Resolutions for 2018

FYI: This post is filled with pictures of all of my favourite memories and people from 2017. Many of them are unrelated to what’s going on in the text, I just wanted to litter it with good vibes to look back on. It’s been another great year.  This year is rare in that I suddenly have a lot of goals that I want to carry with me into the next one. I’m not usually one for specific aspirations or mirror messages and mood boards. I like to just get through the day unscathed, you know? However, I’ve gotten my arse into gear in a lot of ways this year. I finally moved back out of my Mum’s place and into a gorgeous flat with Tom. I’m posting on this blog consistently three times a week and treating it like the second job it is. I started volunteering with older people and I’m about to start volunteering with kids, too. Marmite Chocolate Crisps

Have I gone too far this time? I mean yeah, probably. This one is not going to go down as crowd pleasingly as marmite roast potatoes and cheese and marmite pasta, it’s niche AF and you really are going to either love it or hate it. Saltiness? Check. That’s cool, it’s not gonna be for everyone. It is for me though. Oh, boy is it for me. 100g good quality dark chocolate 1 tsp marmite 2 small packets ready salted ridged crisps Put the marmite and chocolate …

Autumn Made Me Do It | #bakeoffbakealong

I love Flora, in a big way, but it was definitely her turn to be off-skis this week. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from her over the next five years or so, she’s a right one to watch! Disappointed as I am to see her  go, I couldn’t be happier with who’s made it to the final, the best have definitely been saved ’til last. I think my highlight from last weeks show can only be Ian’s well. I couldn’t actually speak, I was so amazed. Not only did he attempt something of sheer genius, he absolutely smashed it. I’m still in absolute awe of the thing. I’ll be honest, after my less than impressive attempt at a showstopper last week, I was kind of intimidated by the actual chocolate work going on in the challenges. So I haven’t really committed to any of them. Instead, I gave into the overwhelming desire I’ve had recently to make pumpkin puree, and use pumpkin pie spice for its original purpose – to add autumn flavour to …
