Step into Christmas with me | Writing the cards

Christmas cards are wonderful. I know that there’s a lot to be said against this age old tradition (it’s not eco-friendly, emails are “just as good”, they’re “consumerist”) but I just think that they’re a really lovely way to reach out to old friends and send warm wishes to new ones. This years cards I picked up these cards from Sainsbury’s (3 for 2, bargain) because I just couldn’t leave them on the shelf, look at that cutie little foodie design! I tend to go for charity cards when I can ’cause it’s a nice little bonus, 10% of the retail price for these babies is donated equally between Comic Relief and the Royal British Legion. I love the Christmas stamps this year! Nothing will ever beat the Wallace and Gromit stamps of 2010 but I’d say these come in at a close second. Is there anything else to write Christmas cards with? No. Gold gel pens only when it comes to seasons greetings. Fun fact: The first ever Christmas cards were commissioned in 1843 …
