Where to Eat in Brighton | March 2018

I’ve had an idea. I’m about to start a new job – a slightly better paid job – which is going to open me up to a little bit of disposable income that will allow me to go out and eat in actual restaurants. As much as I love to share food finds with you, I’m not so keen on writing about them. I’m no Jay Rayner, full page restaurant reviews are not where my skills lie. So, I’m gonna round up all the places I’ve eaten and loved each month in this new blog series. It will be titled ‘Where to Eat in Brighton’, be dated for the following month, and detail places that fed me brilliantly in the previous month. I’ll always publish it on the 1st of a new month. Making sense? From now on you’ll have somewhere that you can check each month to see recent opinions on delicious places to eat in Brighton. This means that you’ve got an easy resource to read and I’ve got a (relatively) small job …

7 Foodie Christmas Tree Decorations for 2017

Happy Sunday! We’re less than a month away from Christmas now, so I’m allowed to post this (it’s been in drafts for quite some time). You would think that in 2017 – the age of food porn – there would be a tonne of food Christmas decorations to choose from. This is not so. I actually had to trawl the internet for quite some time just to find these ones – and there are only seven on the list. In fact, despite my promise to myself to stop buying stuff, I may actually spring for one. I’m thinking the macaron.. let me know your top pick from this list in the comments! hanging croissant // paperchase // £5.25 champagne bottle bauble // debenhams // £6 pineapple bauble // oliver bonas // £8.50 hanging brussel sprout // tesco // £5 mr and mrs peanut baubles // lisa angel // £15 hot gingerbread …

Cheap Dates in Brighton | 2-4-1 Burgers at Little Blue Smokehouse @ The Southover

Update: heartbreakingly, Little Blue Smoke are no longer operating at The Southover, so this deal is no longer applicable – you can find them at Hare and Hounds! Brighton is fast becoming London 2.0, whether we like it or not. That means that date night is getting more expenive by the day, and it can be tricky to keep up. I’m all about a bargain, and I’ve made it my mission to find you the best deals in town so that you don’t have to bankrupt yourself to hang with your other half. The only rule is that the date can only cost a maximum of £10 per head, the rest is all to play for. I’ve featured Little Blue Smokehouse previously on this here corner of the internet back when I was all excited over their PB&J fries at their Seven Stars residence. They’re now a permanent fixture at The Southover, which is not quite as accessible if you’re coming in from out of town (it’s up in the residential area of Hanover) but …
