Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday

Hello. I’m coming to you today from a state of Sunday deliriousness that is proving to be half enjoyable and half inconvenient, but there’s nothing to do besides roll with it so that’s what I’m doing. I hope you had a gorgeous weekend, mine was delicious. It really technically started on Thursday (early Galentine’s Day) and I took Friday off to have an excellent day doing as close nothing as it’s humanly possible to do then got really, really drunk yet somehow managed to make zero bad decisions. Yesterday I turned 21 and ate a lot of bread, and this morning I’m starting to get my shit together again. Happy Valentine’s Day, by the way. I struggle to listen to music and work at the same time, the lyrics automatically distract me from writing – but I have officially found a workaround. Listening to music in another language isn’t distracting at all, because my brain isn’t attempting to listen to the words. Genius, right? Recommended: Francoise Hardy’s The Vogue Years. The Caffeine Lovers Gift Guide

It’s no secret that I frequently enjoy a hot beverage, so I thought it appropriate that my first gift guide of the season be dedicated to highlighting the best treats in the world of caffeine. Handpicked gift plans are super easy to sort out and start at £24 for 3 months (250g of coffee a month). The coffee comes from small farmers and is roasted in London before being popped through your letterbox. It’s a fuss free way to try something different (but almost definitely decent) every month. Hope & Glory have got an adorbs little one off gift pack for coffee lovers with good coffee, espresso cups and chocolate covered coffee beans. Whittard have (predictably) got a gorgeous Christmas range this year. You all know how highly I rate these guys, they’ve quite literally never let me down in quality. Their brandy coffee is lovely, the Christmas tea is top notch and this little mulled wine tree house is torturously cute. Bluebird Tea Co have brought their A game this year. I’ve tried the whole …

August Favourites 2015

This has been the shittiest summer I can remember weather-wise. It’s fine for me, I’m not really a sit-in-the-sun kinda gal, but boy do I feel sorry for all the kids who’ve been on break from school this past couple of months. The only way is up though, I’m so ready to take on everything autumn is about to bring. You can expect lots of warming recipes and the lowdown on some really exciting product launches (the best ones happen in autumn) over the next few months. Anyway, lets talk about what I’ve been loving this month. Don’t forget to tell me what your favourite things about August were in the comments. I didn’t realise I liked green tea until I tried the loose leaf stuff, and now I can’t get enough of it. I don’t like it so much in the morning like a lot of hardcore healthies, but I do love a mug in the evening while I’m getting a bit of work done. I’m currently obsessing over Mango + Bergamot Green Tea off of Whittard (discovered …
